Spectrum Trail Design is responsible for the design and construction of some of the best trails in the country, but located in Southern Indiana. The goal was to create a logo that conveyed a strong work ethic, but also a focus on creativity. We studied a countless number of other trail building logos and trail organizations to find the common threads, but also make Spectrum stand out. The bold typeface and shovel motif lent to the strong work ethic, but the curvature of the shovels led to the creative approach and alluded to an actual meandering trail. The shovels forming the "S" pulled everything together.
